Zealous For Spiritual Gifts
Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:1

The Bible wants us to pursue love and desire spiritual gifts-to have both the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirit. You need them both to live a healthy Christian life. Someone else once said that the spiritual gifts are like the nine feathers on one wing of a dove. The fruit of the Spirit is like the nine feathers on the other wing of the dove (Gal. 5:22-23). A dove needs both wings to fly.
There are so many anti-Charismatic Christians who make statements like: “Well, I got the fruit of the Spirit, I don’t need the spiritual gifts. I am going after love, I don’t need tongues!” That is absolutely illogical. That kind of “love” argument is just a whip to beat Charismatics up with. What are you going to do with all your “love” if you can’t supernaturally meet the needs of the people all around you? Imagine a mother sitting by a dying child saying, “Honey, I love you. But mommy is going to sit here and just quietly love you. I’m neither going to pray nor will I call a doctor for you. I’ll just quietly love you with all of my heart!” What kind of love is that? That is just superficial loving with words but not loving in deed. In order to show genuine love, you must have the means to make that love effective. And what are the means? The gifts of the Holy Spirit!
Divorce love from the gift, and the Bible says you are just a sounding brass and a clanging cymbal (1 Cor. 13:1). But if you only have love without the gift, then what are you left with? Abject frustration! Therefore, you need them both-the love of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit! When the Church goes to meet the Bridegroom in the last days, it will be adorned with the gifts (1:7-8). And the Church that does not wear the gifts disqualifies herself to be the Bride. Say a young man loves a young lady and saves up everything he has to buy her a beautiful diamond ring. He wants to show how much he loves her and mark her out as the girl he wants to marry. But what if that girl refuses the ring. She will never marry that young man! You can’t refuse the love gift and still claim to have love. You can’t scoff at the gifts of the Holy Spirit and still claim to love the Spirit!
There is not a single shred of evidence that the supernatural gifts of God have already been withdrawn from the Church. It is a deception really. If you love the Lord, you will accept His gifts, which marks you out as a member of the Bride, adorned in anointed splendor.

The Charismatic Gifts

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profi t of all. 1 Corinthians 12:7

There are nine different Greek words that are translated into the one English word “gift.” One of the nine is the word charisma. It is from this word that we have the English adjective charismatic.” In the Church world today, Christians who flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit are called “Charismatics.”
Charis means “grace” and charis-ma means “grace made specific” or the “manifestation of grace.” In 1 Corinthians, we have the largest occurrences of this word charisma. Although there were many serious problems in the Corinthian church, yet every charisma was manifested among the people. Did those Corinthians deserve such wonderful gifts from God? Of course not!
That is why they are called the gifts of grace-they are freely and sovereignly given, not based on the merits of the recipients. In 1 Corinthians 12:9-10, we have the nine charismata of the Holy Spirit. And Paul tells us to “earnestly desire the best gifts” (12:31). So the Bible takes it for granted that we are to be very familiar with all of them. The nine gifts of the Holy Spirit are:
(1) word of wisdom, (2) word of knowledge, (3) faith, (4) gifts of healings, (5) working of miracles, (6) prophecy, (7) discerning of spirits, (8) different kinds of tongues, and (9) interpretation of tongues.
The key word that distinguishes these nine from all other gifts is the word “manifestation.” This means they can be clearly perceived by the physical senses. You can see it and hear it. And the nine gifts of the Spirit are precisely that-the manifestation of the presence of the Holy Spirit within a believer. Through these gifts, the invisible Holy Spirit shows Himself out of the believer. When we see these gifts in operation, they are the evidences of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside a Christian.
Many Christians hold on to a wrong religious notion that emotional feelings are bad. But nothing can be further from the truth. God created us with feelings and emotions. And Christianity is an experience with a living God. While God doesn’t want us to be emotional freaks, He nonetheless wants us to perceive Him, to feel Him, and to experience His presence among us.
The nine spiritual gifts are given “for the profit of all” (12:7). They are tools and not toys. They are for the edification of the church. Start earnestly desiring them today!

Back blogging again ! seems that my blog entry become so dusty for almost a month already.
In between this month, i had SOC training with 200m ,400m run down with SBO and SAR21.
The feeling of overcoming & completing all the obstacles is a great one.I told myself if others can,so can I.Beside SOC,We also went GYPSY 1 & 2.I lead my section as a section commander 2IC to find different check point location in the forest.I am under stress when my buddy and i started to do the navigation using the map and a compass.The navigation was successful for the day,however,the checkpoint for "wine" was hard to find.I also learn those very very cool weapon like M203,SAW,Matador.The SAW weapon was very hard to handle because the magazine was in front of the charging handle,that make it even harder to hold.I was also appointed as a Leader Platoon Sergent (LPS) leading and controlling my platoon.My Platoon mates have been very corroborative with me, that's why i never got any problem controlling my Platoon.Overall as a LPS,it is not about the Rank,It is not about your power,it is all about winning the Hearts of everyone.Last time i believe by scolding and shouting at my men was the method to control them,but in the end,it is about putting yourself into their shoes as a PTE.Same goes to people around us.Training was "xiong" so far,but i am able to manage it.I was also injured at the lower hips of my back,due to some heavy load that i help to carry during Field Camp.Talking about field camp,oh no....it's super #*^#%.I don't like the feeling of not showering for 4 days and wearing the same wet no.4 and LBV sia...ahahhhaIn.In this short period,i also get to know many differet types of people coming from different walks of life. ................... to be continue (tired nw)

This is my 5th booked out ...
And I am injured after the SOC and IPPT .... I was in pain at the back of my foot.
Was worried that i cant participate in the other activity.
I cant march as it causes my left foot to be very pain when the body weight fall on the left side.

It has been almost 1 month in BMTC since the day i enlist.I would say i enjoy the training.

I cant't believe that i can use the computer now.
It has been 3 weeks since i enlisted to BMTC.
Just to share some of my life at BMT.
It's really very fun there.Every day lot's of stuff happen.I do enjoy serving my NS so far.
For Training,i do like the 5BX,BCT,CPT,Speed & Strength Training and all of all "ROAD MARCH".
For the Food ... erm ... can say okey okey lor...lolx sometime the Fat Rec lolx came to the cook house we always short of bread to eat sia hahah.
People in my Bunk "ROCKS".We always help each other when we had problems.
So far,we get alone well .... hope that everythings goes well in BMT.

News Letter

Dear colleagues and friends,A team of chefs and apprentices were selected to represent SCA for the Culinaire Malaysia 2007 held in the KLCC. Numerous achievement were awarded to the team for their individual categories.

Xu Tian Mu currently serving his internship at JADE restaurant, Tung Lok group recieved high remarks for his use of Soon Hock, which judges commended seldom would a participant use such fish and a modern chinese flavours for his fish course. Thus winning him a GOLD medal. His duck main course was slightly overdone but still the creation of taste and flavours was well balanced, SILVER medal was awarded. Great support and encouragement were render to him by his chefs from the Tung Lok group.

Wang Shih Wei currently in SHATEC was neat and well organised in the cooking arena, clean and spotless compared to some of the others. Though attending his first overseas cooking competition, he performed above expectation as trainee to be a recepient of 2 SILVER medals, out shone some of the other competitors who are chefs in the trade. His trainers and school mates will be proud of his achievement.

The 2 apprentices representing SHATEC / SCA were working well according to the time table assisting the seniors for the cold display before fully concentrating on preparation for their two hot cooking classes on the last two days. Though overall discipline and strict supervision were emphasised by me, the apprentices were under the one to one guidance of Chef Kong Kok Kiang from Grand Corpthone Waterfront, Chef David Tan from One 15 degree Sentosa and Chef Frankie Yong from SATS who took part in the cold display category. 2 BRONZE medals were achieved by Chef Frankie Yong for his effort on both cold display and hot cooking. The chefs were from the overall champion team of SCA for the Western Australia Oceanafest held in Perth this April.

Though some of the seniors did not achieve desired results, but their cold display skill level are definitely at a higher standard than most of the other participants. Luck does play a part sometimes in competition, think most of you agree with me. But its an unselfish and great effort from them who have guided the two trainees throughout the week, sharing their experience and to boost them with great confidence. Overall good team work and cooperation was shown and during the week event which resembles the same great unity during our Perth's competition under Chef Eric Neo. We like to thank Executive Chef Richmond of KLCC and his Hygiene manager , Kumar for their hospitality and support given to the team at KLCC, not to forget Chef Jasmine Ng and Chef Ivan Yeo from the SCA committee for their coaching and valuable feedbacks for the participants.

Hard slog, but student chefs show their chops

IT WAS a cold Saturday two weeks ago for culinary student Wang Shih Wei. In the recesses of the Gordon Grill's butchery room, he could not stop shivering as he carefully filleted a giant 7kg French duck.

The 20-year-old is one of the six Shatec students handpicked to work with Michelin-starred chefs in Goodwood Park Hotel's Michelin-Star Guest Chefs Festival, which started more than a week ago.

The attachment - shivering included - was part of an agreement between the hospitality school and the hotel, the first time local culinary students were specially hired to assist such culinary cognoscenti.

"The six students were selected based on their strong academic performance, their high degree of professionalism, culinary skills and most importantly, their passion for the culinary arts," said Dr Horst Fuetterer, deputy director of Shatec's College of the Culinary Arts.

The six student chefs started work at the beginning of the month, before the chefs flew in, familiarising themselves with ingredients specially flown in from France and Britain, such as rabbit and wild mushrooms.

So far, the students have worked with chefs Michel Roux and Davy Tissot, and will be working with chefs Jason Atherton and Jean-Andre Charial at the hotel's restaurant, Gordon Grill. The festival ends on Nov 7.

Work has been gruelling.

Every day from 7am to 11pm, they have been feverishly chopping vegetables, deboning lamb and lugging heavy pots of stock in a hot and bustling kitchen, with only one two-hour break every day.

But the dedicated youngsters say they don't mind the hard work and long hours, and have even voluntarily stayed back sometimes to help the midnight shift prepare food for the next day.

"It's definitely very tiring, but the whole experience is just so great. I have no regrets at all. There's a lot to learn and I'm expanding my skills to meet the chefs' standards," said Mr Wang.

The students have found working with the chefs inspiring, particularly the three-starred Mr Roux.

"He's very organised, how he calls for orders and controls the kitchen. In the future, maybe I can become as good as he is," said 17-year-old Victoria Samara.

While Mr Roux was unavailable for comment, Gordon Grill's executive chef, Mr Phillipe Egalon, said that the students had been "fantastic".

"They have performed very well, which is to be expected as they are top students," he said.

Reactions to the Cross

The army officer there saw what happened. He praised God, saying, "I know this man was a good man!" Many people had come out of the city to see this thing. When the people saw it, they felt very sorry and left. The people who were close friends of Jesus were there. Also, there were some women that had followed Jesus from Galilee. They all stood far away from the cross and watched these things. -- Luke 23:47-49 (ERV)

KEY THOUGHT:What happens in your heart when you think of Jesus on the Cross? Theseasoned Roman officer handling the execution praised God and knewJesus was not guilty of any crime. The crowd went home with deepsorrow. Jesus' friends watched from a distance. Which one bestdescribes your reaction? Why? Don't you find it amazing that probablythe least preferable reaction, the least exemplary, was the reaction ofJesus' friends. Let's not just be observers of the Cross, but peoplewho are deeply sorrowed by ours sins that took Jesus to the Cross.However, in our sorrow, let's make sure we don't let grief consume us.Instead, let's praise God for his grace and the salvation he hasprovided for us. Then, rather than going into hiding like the fearfulfriends of Jesus, let's go share the grace with others.

TODAY'S PRAYER:Holy and Almighty God, it breaks my heart that Jesus had to die as asacrifice for sin ... especially my sin. Back Blogging .... Actually a lot of things going on the past few weeks.
Was very busy working split shift.
Time was very short for a break.
30 min for lunch ... and I really very tired with that.
Specially X'mas coming,all the department will be very busy.
I am just like an engine,switch on during a fresh new day,and switch off during night time
Anyway,that my work as a trainee.
The whole world is above me and i don't have any choice.
Time will past very quickly,so that I can also be someone one day.
I believe all successful people went through all the hard time.
I believe that Lord will hold my hand .... firmly and i will shout out to him and says " Oh .. God I want you to Bless me indeed.Please open my territory and keep me away from any darkness any evil who want to harm me " ....

So long i never blog since September le .... lolx!
Was having break now at my Hotel Staff lounge Blogging.
Between this period many exciting things happened.
During the past October,I had an opportunity to work with Four Michelin Star Chefs from France and Europe.
Each of the Chefs have 1 week of promotion at Golden Grill,a fine dining restaurant at Good Park Hotel Singapore.
Because of this,I was also being interviewed and featured by The Straits Time under the Youth Section as they are interested to know more about my passion being so young who went for many competition,and work with Star Chefs.
Currently, I have finished all my theory and practical module and now is having my 9 months of Work Experience attachment at The Mandarin Oriental Singapore.
Work was tired of course,specially having function where we have to serve 300+ paxs.
During the same month,i also accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour. Actually was in primary 3 but be true i never serve God well.
Well those who are christian should know what i mean by please and serve the Lord.
Since i drawn closer to Holy Father, Son and Spirit,I was able to hear from God when i pray,I was able to forgive people,my life was getting very smooth when i trusted that Lord Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Lord will Bless his Children as he had mention in the Heaven is so real book that his kingdom is ready for those who are ready for him.Oh Lord you are so powerful that i want to praise you.I will always had you in mind every time when i do something.I love to worship and get to know you more my father. And i know you will forgive my Sin for the things i dont know what i am doing. Amen !!

Yeah I'm back from Malaysia Culinaire Competition.Above are those photos taken......We brought GLORY to SHATEC as we Won 1 GOLD and 3 Silver Medal competing with the professional chefs around the world for class 18 and class 19 seafood and meat maincourse.I take this opportunity to thank all chef who have guided me and tian mu ...... Btw Tian Mu is the star chef guy from ch 8 he won 3rd overall. He is my buddy...my brother sharing the same interest in culinary competition and career.

Will be going to KL on 20th - 26 th August for Food & Hotel Malaysia Competition.Once again representing SHATEC for this event.I had been very busy over past few weeks practice my dish and busy packing my stff.Have to bring our own pots and pan there and ofcourse my ingredients too.Will be checking in to hotel on Monday and settle down my stff with the singapore national culinary team.Then have to help the chef with their hot display cold competition.For my competition,it will be on the 24 and 25 Aug.Fish and seafood main course on 24 Aug and meat and poultry main course on 25 Aug.Hope that God will help me to get sth back....lolx a Gold and a Silver....I will be happy.....

Long time never blog le.

Cus i was really very busy.

School started on 9 th July and i have six subject theory AND
preparing for my KL Competition.wow tat was stress and tiring.Classes usually ends at 6:30 pm and when i reached home is like around 8 - 9 plus...

Also,i have a team to lead "again" for a project called 'kitchen organisation',will review and let ppl know once this project is over.It's going to be very big project i ever done.

You Know how tired it is going for a competiton?Esp....going to overseas and tat was my first time going overseas and again representing SHATEC...lolx

Just finished packing my food ingredients at HOME for the food tasting today by the S'pore National Culinary team Chefs.Why?? yes it today.... Later on and it seems now is AM and i am still blogging.Yah,was brushing my teeth while blogging,with tooth brush hanged in my mouth...lolx

Dam tired day for me.

Had to prepare 2 portions for Meat - Main course and 2 portions for Fish Main course for the coming KL Competition food tasting by chefs.

7:30 am - wake up take cab to school to prepare my food tasting ingredients for 30/6 9am at Hotel.

9:30 am - 1:45 pm Preparing in process.Cooking,Cutting,Braising,Marinating,boiling ... lolx almost all cooking method applies.

2 pm - Had a short break (10 min only) ahahah

2:10 pm - 7pm - Packing to send to my home.Cus next day tian mu will come over with his ing also,nicely packed from his house to mine,and we will then get to the hotel together.

8:10 pm - reached home. ...unload the stff.

8:20 pm - continue with packing,doing sauce,doing veg puree and repacked and confirmation all ing and equipment is nicely pack..
1:30 am - then finished everything ... and bath and now blog hahaha

kk i really gtg now if not i cant cooked later at 10 am.....

Just reached home.
I was VERY VERY HAPPY just now ........
You Know why? Cus i have been planning the upcoming KL competition menu for more than a weeks already and finally, i managed to finish planning everything by today.... yeah.
On top of that, i also completed my Finance Board petty cash and the account was tally,it was balance ..... cool dont have to top up with the unbalance expenses.
Ermm..this few week i'm kind of busy cus i have to prepare a Food Tasting session for Chef from the spore National Culinary Team at Grand Corpthorne Hotel.
God,my chances are coming....and it is very rare for student to complete in this competition.
I hope my food - both Meat and poultry and fish and seafood main course for 2 portion will be fine...as my 1st food tasting was not really tat good...the chef told me for improvement...... Hence,Tian Mu...... Jia Yeo to u too...... btw Tian Mu is the Star Chef from Channel 8 .... he is my very good friend who are also joining me to KL in august...He is also from SHATEC,now with sam leong at attachment....he is Jan intake....and i'm July intake....

This week i went to hotel to help for the SIA 60th anniversary.
The school send 5 kitchen team and 15 service team to the Hotel.
It was fun,cus i get a closer look at how a real hotel runs as a whole team.
The kitchen side,service side,room service,front office and the housekeeping side.
It was really cool to see tat night serving 200 pax 4 course set dinner.
I was attached to the main banquet kitchen for helping serving the potager (soup) and Main course.
Well i had a great time spending there.
Ate tenderloin which was for stand by meal..
and the confit tomato....it was gorges the tomato melted in my mouth with juicy nature jus shoot out from the tomato.....yummy
I shall try confit duck,slamon.vegetables for my comprehensive exam too..

Went back to outlet for my last quarter attachment after my Black Box Competition,which will end in June.I have to be in the restaurant for abt 4 weeks...Life in there,how do i put it in words....erm..happy?sad?......well lots of things happened so fast and i really know lots of different type of ppl....ppl who are really concern to u,ppl tat are jealous with u,ppl tat are selfish..ppl tat like to make fun of u cus they think they are superior.....i went out with my chef last few days and he encourage me to stay firm.....i wounder am i going too fast?as in..... am i wrong to improve myself by going and participating in culinary competition?Ppl puts on green eyes on me??? i asked my Chef,did he faced the same problem when he was like me? His answer was "YES"...but wat's more important is don't care wat ppl going say abt u....he told me to go ahead to wat i think i can do it.He wanted me to get into the Singapore culinary team as he could not get in...I will do it for myself and is to do wat i think i am supposed to do.I must do sth for myself...not to stay in the same box's with my peers,cus it is not going to work if every one gets the same diploma...and gets no promotion.I wanted to get into SIM university to take up degree course in F& B related course and i hope i can get in.Cus this new course just started not long ago and they are taking in 2nd intake this year.Let God to decide my future,cus my life and future are now in your hand God father......God will punished those who dont help themself yet they make fun of other ppl......I hope time will tell everything...cant imagine wat my life will be 8 years down the road as i mentioned with Qun Zheng before in Anderson Sec.....Qun Zheng i hope we can be someone one day...

I am back blogging!! My blog are so dusty,so long never update le.Yah ... yesterday was my birthday "Happy Birthday to myself" , but i was very tired.Just to shared with u guys wat happened during this period.On the 19 May our team represented SHATEC to MM Hotel for a briefing and collecting of our MLA Black Box Competition ingredients and to plan a 3 course Menu consist of a appetizer,a main course and a dessert using the ingredients in the Box provided by the few sponsors.And it was in the evening just before we end the whole briefing.Then,we quickly rushed to suntec CF to buy all the under portion ingredients and went back to school to do our (MISE EN PLACE) preparation/getting ready (french word).So by the time we reached the school,it was already 9pm +.We seat down with our team manager and started to plan work plan on who is doing what.Basically i was in charge of the appetizer course.And we did all the cutting,marinating,braising etc .... through out the whole night all the way to morning 10am+.We thought we could have some sleep and take shower in school.But it was a very tiring process.We never sleep for the whole day.As this competition not only to prepared 3 portions to judging,photograph and presentation....we had to do another 22 portions for he gala dinner the next day.So i have to packed lot's and lots of ingredients,cooked and uncooked before 12pm.As we have to be in the hotel by 2pm to set up our U shape table.So by the time we reached there it was 12 pm+ and i even have no time to get changed to our uniform for the competition.Then,i reached MM Hotel,I rushed to the gents and get myself changed and brush my teeth in the toilet....lollolo ... is like we are very rushed lor.... So we went to the Ball room to set up all of our equipments and plates etc.... lot of work involved.So we went through the judging and feedback was great as my service side trainer said that we are very clam during the judging compare to other hotels.So we had a break after the judging and back again to prepare foe the 22 portions to served to the invited guest.... Lastly, during the award presentation.... we got an silver award. I was really very happy ... as i never expected to get a silver.wat in my mind was to make sure i served and perform well tat all .... thanks to all chef in my school for the help and support during our hard time....thanks chefs cheers!

Few days nv blog le.Was very busy this few week.We had a new team manager taking over our team.I smell so smoky,cus i just came up from the kitchen.I was trying a cooking method call "smoked".Using the flavours that i want and heat it till smoking point.I smell very smoky now! as if i smoked in the yellow box.Was trying out new dishes for my appetizer,cus we had some changes for the whole menu.Was told that there will be ingredients coming out that we nv have the chance to practice...lolx just now i went to pastry kitchen,i ate the chocolate,wow tat was nice.The went to collect store which i ordered.I ordered "red leg" prawns med size,however when it came it was like 5 times bigger than the tiger prawns. And it was very X lor.1 kg cost about $ 27,then i told the uncle i cant used this in my appetizer,cus it is TOO BIG...sia ...kk i gtg now see my teammate doing chocolate cake...

As the time goes by,closer to 19 May and 20 May ..... my heart beat faster!! Really Fast.This is very normal.Ppl get very excited and nervous,i am really stress out,as this is my first time participating in the national level competition and to fight with the famous Hotels.I will do my best.Never lose to people.I have the passion and i am confident that if every things go according to what we have practice,we are not going to lose... is just pending with the judge.hope they are not bias.We are just as tender as tenderloin.Cant expect much from us.We cant product a sirloin nor a topside or a rump to u judge..... hope we get can a top3 or even best appetizer,main course & dessert....and a silver or a gold award .

Just had my dinner .. went out to buy some stff for tomorrow.Then checked my e-mail .... received a e-mail send by the Alan Palmer (Global Competition Coordinator MLA Black Box Culinary Challenge) .I saw many famous Hotels participating in this competition + my school team which is my team SHATEC.I will hold the flag high and tall for the school."Always catch the SHATEC spark" I know the competition will surely be some unfairness,but nvm i still will do my best hoping to get at least a third for a Gold /Silver Award hahaha.. gtg ....

i am again blogging in school library.Just finished to settle Food cost,Service Side with Joan and all administration work.GOD.... i am very tired now very tired.My eyes are going to close right now.Meet Xiaoai and yaoyao...They very funny look like sister.I was shock by the food cost ..it shoot by $1035 + and we were only given $ 1500 for our food cost.Anyway still waiting for the plates that i ordered to come in.I ordered 3 different type of plates with 25 set each ... tat need money too man.Next week got to start doing food plating and presentation.As time goes by ... my heart pump even more fast.

It's 9:15 am ... lolx just went swimming beside my school swimming pool.And is now back to school blogging in the library.I can smell chlorine + Bread smell on my Chef uniform and my body...hahaha .It was very relax and nice to swim in the morning ... Actually yesterday i was about to swim with my Black Box Competition teammates,however it was raining very heavy tat i nv get the chance to swim.And the thing is I pay $1 just to get myself change in the toilet and sit at the pool side watching for the rain to stop....hahaha.Well ... happy today cus i get to Swim,for about 1 hour in the cold water.Later,got to do some cooking and plating for my competition... and hope i don't see tat FAT guy .. if not i am going to let him eat Chlorine bean soup instead of Green bean soup ahahahahha .. k i gtg .

today went to school as usual.doing french bread for part my appetizer.Yeah it work out to be very "BIG" due to the longer proofing time.Today also see one "BIG" fat guy.He is Ugly,Fat,Despicable,Jealous..... of me going for competition ...cus u know wat ? he had nth inside his brain.Big Head but contains shit inside.Wat he knows was to using his Size and his ugly face to make ppl feel inferior of him.But WHO CARES? He is sick and i am sick and tired looking at him.Jealous?? Then why don't u show results? Don't be jealous tat i am better than u..... Cus it seriously doesn't work ... Ask him to eat my green bean soup is really kind to u le... dont look at me ??/ I also can't do anything .I don't have to see ur face to earn a living ... just had my dinner.I cooked.Mum went overseas with dad left me and my siblings at home.Alone! Was very boring cus I feel like swimming now.I feel like jumping into the swimming pool and never get up.Soak myself in the ice cold water and get myself so relax and went for foot massage.I am stress for the upcoming competition.Was really excited and at the same time was very tiring. Can't really imagine what will happen that day.Hope that the competition will be very smooth.Hope that the service staff will not drop our dish.You might say it is impossible.But it does happened before.sian ...... tomorrow need to get back to school to do my r&d.Hope that the dish will be successful. Yes Yes !! I know ..... long time never blog right, since after Chinese new year.ermmm....Currently i'm having attachment in schools outlets.But was excused by Chef cus i am participating in the international MLA (Aust. Meat and live stock) Black Box Culinary Competition to be held on 19 and 20 May in MM Hotel.Again this time round will be representing school with two of my teammates and one team manager for kitchen bridge and 4 service bridge. So,we have been excused for trainning in school.This competition is to draw a black box containing mastry of ingredients and the kitchen bridge supposed to plan a 3 course menu from a appetizer to a main course and a dessert to serve 3 portions for judging,photograph and display for guest.And also,to serve 20 portions on the spot for the VIP Gala dinner.Basically,I am incharged of appetizer and i am having r&d to develop my dish.We have been practicing lot's and lot's of product which we think would possibllity be coming out.Humm... so well like i told myself take it easy,cus winning or not doesn't matter cus atlease is a once and a life time experience having the gloryrep school... hahahl lo ppl wait for my good news ! cheers

Just reached home after today's Dry Run 7.Was really tired teaching one of the classmate doing both the BBQ sauce as well as the Shell fish sauce.Today the dry run was improving from good to excellent.Hope that the actual day it will be going smoothly.Today i also did a one big chicken stock for the up coming event.I throw in whole numbers of Onions,Carrots,Leek and some other herbs and spices to make the stock taste nice.The most troublesome thing is we had to drained the stock using a fine strainer,other then that i think it should not have any problem.The dates for my events catering had been shorten to 4 days instead of 6 days due to public hoildays and events that held in different outlets.But anyway,though it is only a 4 days events,I will surely present a wonderful and a most memorable dinning experience for all the dinners

Today just reached home after my events catering project.Was really tired listening to so many feedback about our platting for appetizer & main course from some of the chef.Basically,now I am doing a big project called "Events Catering".The project comprise of 23 members from both the Diploma in Culinary skills and Diploma in Pastry & Baking.I was elected as a Sous Chef which is the 2nd position in this project.Me and my partner Execitive Chef have a big responsiblity to lead the entire group.Today was actually our dry run 5 doing 12 portions to see the speed of the different individual stations.The worst thing for today was,someone from dont know which course did not close the walk in freezer door,and tat makes all my vegetables "gan na" freezer burn man.....the potato was like freeze until like a stone lor...can't even peel ...hahaa.Any way I will up date my friends to come for my events catering at Hotel for a fine dinning experence.Cheers

lol ...... I haven't update my blog since my last blog.Many more exciting things happen in my life.I feel like I am no longer a child,cus i have to made lots of decision by myself.Really miss 5/1 ppl.No more playing around with them in the same class.I wish time can stay at that moment.I wish I can know more about them.I wish ........... Life is just about a word "if" .If I can I will.If I can still remain as a child I will.No worries,no competition.If I can I would want to...... X'mas coming !! Wish all my friends a very happy X'mas.Sorry for not blogging for so long....cus i am really very busy since the first day of school.Ermm.....for those who want to know how's my life to be a Chef,well i must say i really enjoyed my career to be a professional chef working in this hospitality line.Currenty,I finished my year one in school,and achieved an excellence results for both the theory and practical.Waiting for next school term which is the 25 Dec......tats X'mas baby ..woh...... will be attached to school's restaurant for about 2 weeks.
